    Vinification: Light crushing, fermentation in temperature controlled steel tanks with frequent pump over and délestages
    Ageing: 30 months in used large oak barrels and then in the bottles in the wine cellar at controlled temperature

  • Colour: Medium ruby red with garnet reflections
    Nose: Powerful and elegant, with dark red fruit, liquorice, violet and chocolate aromas
    Palate: Rich and smooth, with notes of black cherry, plum, vanilla, liquorice and tobacco. Full-bodied taste with great intensity, smooth tannins and a pleasantly long finish.

  • The cantina was founded in 1820. Livia Fontana is the 8th generation of the family at the helm working with her sons Michele and Lorenzo following the same philosophy as her ancestors. No chemicals are used in the winemaking and traditional large barrels are employed for ageing. Ethereal old school Barolo redefined for the discerning drinker
