Barolo 'Grinzane Cavour' 2015

Camilla and Francesco from La Carlina bring us this rare vineyard, 100% organic Barolo bottling from Grinzane Cavour.
  • Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo 
    Viticulture: Practicing organic
    Vinification: Soft pressing and de-stemming, cold pre-fermentative maceration, fermentation and maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature (27°C) for approx. 15 days. The must is pumped over 4/5 times per day, then “submerged cap” maceration from 30 to 60 days, depending on the grapes' characteristics 
    Ageing: 24 months in Slavonian oak casks (20hl) + 2 months in steel tanks at controlled temperature (18°c) and 12 months in bottle (14.5°C)
    Bottles produced: 6,000 
    Alcohol: 14.5% abv

  • Colour: Pale ruby red
    Nose: Red berries, dried rose and sweet spice 
    Palate: Supple and vibrant, with remarkable texture both velvety and robust with a fine and long aftertaste  

  • Set up in 2014 by brother and sister Camilla and Francesco in the heart of Grinzane Cavour. Since the very beginning the duo has been making fresh, pure and delicious wines in full respect of the environment by practising natural agriculture
