Cascina Galarin's story began in the late 1700s when the ancestors of the current owners built the estate stone by stone, creating part of the current winery and a beautiful wooden door featuring an intricately carved rooster. This rooster inspired the company logo: “Galarin,” a long-standing nickname for the family.
In the late 1980s, Giuseppe Carosso joined the business, leading a significant shift in the winery's philosophy. Under his guidance, Cascina Galarin began bottling its wines and meticulously tending to the vineyards, ensuring that the varietals and terroir were respected during vinification and aging.
Today, Giuseppe is joined by his sons, Marco and Giovanni, who continue a family tradition that spans over two centuries. Committed to respecting nature and the environment, they believe that high-quality wine originates in the vineyard; therefore, they do not use herbicides or pesticides, promoting the growth of various herbs among the vines.
Since the 2016 harvest, Cascina Galarin has been certified organic, cultivating some of the most important Piedmontese grape varieties, including Barbera, Moscato, Nebbiolo, Arneis, and Freisa, alongside Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
